Project Background
In November 2023, the customer's ship needed a customized marine ladder with NK class certificate. Marine ladders involve crew boarding safety and must satisfy both dimensional customization and class compliance, with an extremely short overall delivery requirement.
Key Challenges
The customized marine ladder must not only be precisely measured according to ship type, hatch position and boarding height, but also pass NK class society certification. The certificate process generally takes weeks; the customer required an electronic certificate in the shortest time, which conventional processes struggle to meet.
Solution
AMTS coordinated manufacturing channels with NK certification qualification for customized production, simultaneously pushed the certificate process, and maintained close communication with class society surveyors to accelerate drawing review, type testing and certification.
Project Result
The marine ladder was delivered in the shortest time with NK electronic certificate issued smoothly. The customer accepted successfully and the ship was put into operation on schedule.
